I fell in love with quilting in the mid seventies. My first pieced quilt was constructed with a yard stick, pencil, scissors, Mom’s sewing machine and lots of determination. Passionate about hand quilting, I was totally fascinated with the dense, elaborate quilting produced by longarm machine quilters I saw on display at quilt shows in the mid nineteen nineties. I never dreamed at that time I too would one day own a longarm and quilt for hire.
My Gammill Classic Plus arrived in January 2006, and by August I felt ready to ‘hang out my shingle’ and open for business. My fulltime ‘day job’ was coming to an end by fall of 2007 with the closing of my family business of 34years. I am now a fulltime longarm quilter for hire and added a Statler Stitcher in the fall of 2011 to keep pace with demand, allowing me to maintain a fast turnaround time of 2 weeks.
I love my job and I love my customers! Having been a quilter for well over 30 years I fully understand the time, work, and expense that goes into creating your quilt. I can promise you that I will give your project the careful consideration and care that it so rightly deserves.
